Calendar of Events

Local Media Works provide event listings for the year which highlight important events taking place in the UK and worldwide, many of which are celebrating a significant anniversary. The listings can open up lots of new advertising and promotional opportunities for publishers. 

Examples used in local media in 2020:

• In 2019, the Manchester Evening News ran an article to highlight Cervical Screening Awareness Week.

• The Portsmouth News published a story to promote Dementia Action Week.

• The Herald published a piece to mark World Press Freedom Day.

• The Yorkshire Post and the Huddersfield Daily Examiner published pieces in 2019 to raise awareness for Mental Health Awareness Week.

• Norwich Evening News and Yorkshire Evening Post ran features for Earth Day 2020
